March Favourites

It's come to that time of the month where I tell you all my favourite products and other things I've been loving over the last few weeks.

Before, I did my favourites in categories, with one makeup item, one skincare item, one hair item and so on. This time, I haven't got categories, I just gathered together my favourite things from this month to show you.

The first product is my Amie Skin Shield Daily Moisturiser. This moisturiser is really creamy which I love, and has SPF 15, so it's perfect for the daytime when you want your skin to be protected from the sun.

The next product is this Jack Wills Finest Ladies Body Wash. This is a really good shower gel, it's one of the best ones I've tried. I don't have a sense of smell, so I don't know the scent, but the packaging says 'a delicate fragrance'.

Next, I chose the Maybelline Baby Lips in Hydrate. I've just been loving this recently and I've always had one on me, as I seem to suffer with dry lips.

I've also been loving the Seventeen Sculpting Brow Pencil- it's the perfect shade and you can increase the intensity depending on your eyebrow colour. I just run this through my brows and brush through them with an eyebrow brush to soften the look a little.

The fifth product is the Maybelline Color Tattoo, in Pink Gold. Even though this is a pink colour, it's still very versatile and natural looking, and I've been loving this so much, that I've been wearing it nearly everyday through March.

The final product is Rimmel's Stay Matte powder. I have it in translucent, just because I think it looks less obvious on the skin and I don't want to have powder that makes me look the wrong colour. This is so good for reducing shine and setting makeup though, which is why it's in my favourites!

I hope you enjoyed this post- let me know your favourite product/s of the month in the comments below.

Room Tour

Recently my bedroom has been redecorated, because the walls and carpets had been the same since I was a baby, and I've also rearranged all my furniture, so I wanted to give you guys a little peak at some of my bedroom!

When you walk into my room, this is the first thing you see. I have quite a small room, but my new furniture set up and decorating makes it look bigger and fresher.

My walls were originally cream, but they looked a bit yellow, so I chose this paint, which is 'Dulux White Cotton'. The carpet I have (you can see in the first photo, although it's a little dark), replaced the previous burgundy colour, and is called 'Stone' from Carpet Right.

I wish I had 'before' photos, so that you could see the difference, but unfortunately I don't!

These are the cushions I have, I'm not sure where the covers are from, but the Molly one was made by my mum's friend.

On my dressing table (first photo) I have my jewellery box, a small dish thing with my watch in it, and a 'happy flower' that is solar powered (not pictured), and my straighteners, ballet decoration, hand-held mirror and jewellery stand. I love my dressing table, and this was new too, I found it in a charity shop. It has six drawers, and plenty of space which I love. I added a mirror onto the wall to make it personal as I love that look. If you're after new furniture, but can't pay loads of money, charity shops can be great places to find new things!

I also have this cute hanging sign next to my window. I like this because it's girly but doesn't look too over the top!

This is the view from around my wardrobe at the other end of my bed. I put this television in there, and it's the first time I've had a TV. I don't watch it much as I spend a lot of my time in the lounge, and this television was just from the spare room, so my parents already had it. I've had this shelf since I was a baby, and its a good size to fit my books and other things on.

I personally like arranging my books to look a little cluttered, but they are still done in an organised way. I have decorations on the top, beauty and life books on the middle shelf, and on the bottom I have some books about bands I like, some films and my Wii games. Most of my books are either on my kindle or in another cupboard downstairs, as I don't really have enough space to have them all out, and having too many things in my room makes it look tiny.

The picture of the tutu is from Matalan, this is new, my friend Abi got one, and I really liked it, so my mum surprised me by hanging it up when I was out :)

I hope you enjoyed this post! I personally love designing like this, but I'm wondering whether you guy do? Let me know in the comments!

Liebster Award//Updated Set of Questions

I've been nominated again to do the Liebster Award, which is such a lovely feeling, because people don't have to nominate me, but they choose to anyway!

I wanted to answer the second set of questions, because if someone has bothered to nominate me, I should answer, however, I will link to the previous post so you can view my original questions- nominated by MeMe- and who I nominated:

This time I have been nominated by Phoebe, and you can view her blog here:

Phoebe's Questions:

1. What is the blog post you are most proud of?
I actually said in my other Liebster Award, however, I'm going to name a different post that I did after the Liebster Award- Sleek Blush By 3- Trio Palette- Lace 367- Review. I just really like the photography and content I did in that post, I just felt like it all came together well!

2. What is your favourite film?
Probably Mean Girls or The Fault in Our Stars. Mean Girls in my opinion is just the chick-flick of all chick-flicks, and I personally thought that The Fault in Our Stars was very well acted, particularly since it's such a sad topic.

3. If you could be a fictional character who would you be?
I'm not sure! I've never really thought about it, but if I think of a character who I'd love to play, I'll let you know!

4. What three items would you take to a desert island?
Sun cream (because a desert island would be really sunny and being stranded and sun-burnt wouldn't be fun!), my phone so I could actually call for help, and a survival kit (with medical things, a knife and maybe a basic guide to survival).

5. If you could travel in time, where would you go?
I'm not sure where I said this before, but I've said before the 1950s and 60s, because the music and fashion was amazing, life seemed more simple, and people did awesome stuff like jive dancing, but just out at dances together, rather than in shows or classes!

6. Favourite band/artist?
5 Seconds of Summer!

7. Best place to eat out?
Pizza Express or ASK Italian. Somewhere like that, because they serve pizza, pasta and italian meals, and usually they do amazing ice cream too!

8. What do you like most about the country/town you are from?
The fact that there is countryside walks, you can walk to the harbour, its about a 20 minute drive from the beach and its small and quiet but still near to the local town and shops (5-10 minute drive!)

9. Best concert you've ever been to?
It's a toss up between the Girlguiding Big Gig (when I was about 10- it was a lot of fun though!) or One Direction at Wembley. I've only been to 3 concerts though, and the other one was when I was quite young with my parents (Girls Aloud), so I can't remember it as much!

10. If you watch youtube, who is your favourite youtuber?
LucyandLydia, Gabby (aka velvetgh0st) and Sophie Foster!

11. Cats or dogs?
Dogs, defintely. I find them friendlier, but I'm also allergic to cats so I can't go near them whatsoever, otherwise I'll sneeze loads and my eyes will water!

I hope you enjoyed reading my new set of questions and answers!

Bye!

Maybelline EyeStudio Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Eyeshadow Review

I'm sure you've all heard of Maybelline's amazing Color Tattoos, but I've recently been absolutely loving these little pots of eyeshadow, and I thought, 'why haven't I written a review about these on my blog yet?'

The actual product is a 'cream gel eyeshadow', and I find that these last a long time, and have much more staying power than powder shadows. Also, the nice thing about these is that they don't end up wearing away into a small line in your eyelid crease, unlike a lot of other cream eyeshadows do. I'd honestly recommend these so much, they are such good quality.

Firstly, I'll talk to you about the packaging. These come in little glass pots, not dissimilar to the type of pot that gel liners come in, and they have a sticker on the top displaying the colour and name (I think the American version is a bit different, but I'm not sure) and a clear bottom, that shows the actual product and some silver writing with the product's name. I'm generally not fussed about packaging as long as it's not easily broken, and this packaging is nice and secure.

The colour range of these eyeshadows is great, with a mixture of mattes and shimmers, dark colours and light colours, and some varying tones of similar shades that complement each other well. I currently only have On and on Bronze (bottom) and Pink Gold (top), but I want to buy some otther shades, as these are incredible.

These are such brilliant quality. Although I've never worn my makeup for a full 24 hours, and I can't tell you whether they last that long like the packaging says, I know that they stay on from the start of the day through to the end, and when I tried to wash these swatches off, they don't just rub away, you need to use soap and water (or on your face- makeup remover/cleanser!).

As you can see, the colours blend out well, so you can have really strong, highly pigmented shadow, or a much softer, smokier look. This means you could even layer up the same colour to apply in your crease and lighter on your lid.

I also think that these are very versatile, they can be applied in 5 seconds with your finger for a quick touch of colour, used with different color tattoo shades, used as a base for other colours, or used with powder shadows as well. You can choose how precise you want to apply these, but I think that a 'messy' smudged look with your finger is just as cool as an accurate look applied with a brush.

At only 4.99 from Boots and Superdrug, why not buy one or two for yourself and see whether you like them?

Have you tried any of these before? What colours are you favourite? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

boohoo.com Fashion Picks for Spring

Hiya! Since we are basically in spring now, I want to do a fashion post. I adore boohoo.com, so I thought I would pick out some of my favourite clothes to show you guys. I've chosen boohoo, because the clothes are absolutely gorgeous and I've been ordering quite a few things from there since I discovered it about a year ago! I took a look at the New In part, and this is what I came up with!

Laura Rib Knit Turtle Neck Crop Sleeveless Jumper: £12.00

This is the first item that caught my eye. I think this is so perfect for spring, because it is knitted, so will keep you warm, but isn't so thick that you can't wear it when it starts getting a little warmer. It comes in 3 different colours too, which is great if you want a variety in this style.

Kate Belted Shawl Collar Coat: £30.00

I'm not someone who owns a lot of coats, and I don't buy new ones every year, but I saw this and I literally love it! I personally like this colour, Stone, because it's quite light and fresh for spring, but it comes in 'Mocha' and 'Black' as well!

Madeline Sport Luxe Scuba Sweat: £12.00

I saw this jumper, and the main reason I liked it was because it's just perfect for slouching round the house in. I really like baggy clothes, so I personally love this!

Lulu Daisy Print Jersey Leggings: £8.00

These are so cute and for the price, I think they are so worth it! I don't wear prints much, as I find them quite hard to put together with outfits, but I think these are actually really versatile!

Jennifer Ribbed Stripe Turtle Neck Crop Top: £10.00

I'm a lover of crop tops, so when I saw this, I had to include it in my picks because I think it's just such a cool design. I'm particularly liking long sleeved crop tops at the moment, ready for spring, so I'm planning on buying lots.

Roxi Strap Back Detail Skater Dress: £12.00

I think this dress is a bit more of a summer dress, but I saw it and I think it's really nice so I've put it in here. This shade is 'Nude', but it comes in 'Black' and 'Colbalt' too!

So that's it for my Spring Fashion Picks, why not comment down below your favourite item and whether you'd like to see more posts like this in the future!
